It is 1924 and Bessie, a ten year old girl, has been given a reading book in school. It is about fairies. Bessie is not pleased - she wanted one on cotton milling. Her classmates tease her about her lack of imagination as she is more interested in becoming the first lady manager at the local mill than joining in with their games. But when Bessie meets her new next door neighbour, an old lady called Mrs Leaf, the enigmatic old lady doesn't seem to think the idea of fairies is so silly. She even suggests that she might be one herself. Stage Stars invite you to a magical world premiere of their home grown musical.
